APPLE COMPUTER5SamsungThe Samsung corporation have a meme on its internet that it has stolen from the ideas of Apple (Elliot, 2017). Thus, Samsung reproduces the products and sell them for less than Apple sell the original products for. However, such claims have been denied by Samsung, yet it has remained the major business rival to Apple in the Smartphone industry. Samsung also controls the ship construction and financial service industries. Nevertheless, the main concern of Apple is about the hardware production in Samsung. Samsung is known for producing tablets at lower values compared to iPads and Apple TVs. The electronics of Samsung have Android operating systems from Google. Therefore, it works to weaken the market share of Apple.Google Google is a business rival for Apple in many ways. For instance, it is the owner of Smartphone operating system Android that competes indirectly with Apple phones by authorizing companies such as Samsung to use Android. Similarly, Google play is the iTunes version of Apple. Therefore, this is enough to worry the management team of Apple. When it comes to online payment services, Google present a major threat to Apple with India and China presenting the main battleground as the emerging markets for Apple and Google (Elliot, 2017). Each of the above countries has over 1billion people with a constant increase in the number of smartphone users. Microsoft During the past years, Apple and Microsoft used to be associates. However, the association did not go well when each of them started to compete. Since then, Apple has been the major competitor of Google (Elliot, 2017). Previously, both firms were providing home computers as Microsoft outselling Apple because of low prices. Microsoft computers were less well made.

After realizing this, Microsoft also branded their smartphone. Apple CEO decided to take the company where they capitalize on accessories, this idea give birth to the apple watch. The product didn’t do as well as predicted and put the company in another situation where they have to reinvent the product to recuperate the losses, never the less there was some lesson learned.Lessons that have been learned for enterprise information systems managersConsidering the competition, change in marketing strategy, and product improvement the lessonslearned during the ups and down should be a spring board for improvement. Apple should capitalize on its successful products for competitive advantages. For example, the company had capitalized on the success of iPod. Therefore, it developed and sustained over 500 accessories. Moreover, the lessons acquired from the experience of iPhone involves engaging the clients concerning product development. The company should acquire the software for iPhones from theoutsiders. This is because of the availability of over 10,000 applications at the iTunes app store.
