hijackers to try and take back the plane. He then contacted his wife by air phone to inform her of what was happening. He told her that the plane had been hijacked and that he and three other passengers (Reported to be Mark Bingham, Todd Bearner and Tom Burnett.) were going to rush the hijackers to try and stop them. It is when he called her that he learned of the planes crashing into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Jeremy knew at this point it was a suicide mission for the hijackers and they had to do something, fast. While still on the phone with his wife he said his last goodbyes and asked her to live a good life and to take care of their infant daughter. Even while facing his emanate demise he was making jokes about having butter knife left over from breakfast to use as a weapon. In that moment Jeremy had to make a choice. He could either die while talking with his wife or he could do something and possibly die making a difference and maybe even save others. He chose the latter. Right then he crossed the threshold from fear to courage and determination. He took action and told the others to get ready. He then told his wife to stay on the phone because he would be right back. Those were the last words he ever spoke to
