SUBTEXT In Subtext, we make up our own interpretations of the text of the media in our own minds. No two people will ever have the same interpretation of a text. Subtext will be based on an individuals: Experiences/Knowledge Opinions Attitude Values (Katy-Perry 2017).
PATHOS Pathos is one of the three modes of persuasion that appeals to the audience’s emotions through communication. This is done by Storytelling/Metaphors General passion in presentation Over all emotion Art of using language (Pathos 2017).
ETHOS In ethos, the person gains trust and credibility from the audience. This is done by: being a notable figure on the topic. having a fixed interest in the matter. Using appealing logos that shows the speaker is knowledgeable on the topic. appealing to a person’s character or morality. (Ethos 2017).
LOGOS Logos is an appeal to convince the audience by logical arguments. It uses logic; facts figures case studies statistics etc. to appeal to their audience’s intellect and logic. (Persuasion 2017).
