Receiving cont.. Some goods are received in tote bins, in the correct quantities and pre-advised electronically by the supplier using *Advance Shipping Notification (ASN).Step 1:pallets containing the tote bins are moved by a *Powered Pallet Truck (PPT), to depalletising robots.-Depalletising robots unload the pallets and place the tote bins onto a conveyor for transport to AS/RS or OSR.Goods that are not required for pick up in the immediate future Step 1: Goods are moved on pallets or tote bins Step 2: Then transported by reach truck to the narrow-aisle storage area.Any pallets are given a *Licence Plate Number (LPN) which are given by the supplier for identification. *Advance Shipping Notification (ASN):is a document that provides detailed information about a pending delivery. *Licence Plate Number (LPN):is a method for grouping and managing inventory by container. Each container is assigned a unique LPN and given a barcode label.

Order Picking●Picking stations○33 stations■Comprises 12 tote bins per conveyor on lower conveyor●Represents which stores need to be picked■Higher level conveyor bins are brought to two locations●Instruction are given for pickingA total number of items to be picked is shown next to the conveyor and is removed from upper conveyor bin. At the same time the lower bins are also being removed based on certain requirements displayed on the conveyor. The picker completes the requirements and the upper level bin is sent back to the storage area. The next bin in line is selected.
