Has proper equipment
Ambulance is equipped with technology and equipment’s that
may be needed during an emergency, which otherwise is not
possible if the patient is being taken to the hospital by oneself.
Has Trained personnel
An ambulance has trained staff and personnel who knows the
proper way a patient needs to be lifted and carried in a vehicle,
which otherwise could result in further injury of the patients.
However, the ambulance is equipped to accommodate only 1 or at
the most 2 patients. During times of emergencies like a stampede
where the number of people injured are in need of quick and
immediate medical attention, are more in number, It becomes a
problem for the helpers to decide whom to take first, or perhaps
ever more problematic as when the ambulance arrives, all the
people just try to get themselves or their loved ones in the
ambulance, in order to give them the treatment as quickly as
possible.
In a situation of a chaos, It can become a further chaos if in the
crowd full of injured people in need of help, an ambulance cannot
accommodate more than 2 patients, which is why more and more
number of ambulance are needed to be called upon, the problem
not being limited to calling more number of ambulances but the
cumulative effect that it has; which being the more number of
ambulance one calls, the more traffic and space problem is

created as in situations like a stampede which more or less
results because of overcrowding, there is already a lack of space,
so it becomes a hassle for ambulances to navigate and reach at
the place of need, and the ambulances already having the patients
to get going towards the hospitals.
The hospitals are usually scattered and situated in different
places, It is never the case that there are a host of hospitals
situated in all the places, A hospital has a limited number of
ambulances, So during the crisis the ambulances will obviously
have to be called upon from the nearest hospital or from the
nearest ambulance providing services, But with number of
ambulances being limited, ambulances will have to be called
upon from other locations, which could be far, could get stuck in
traffic and there could be a further delay in providing an
immediate and timely treatment to the patients.
The problem of having the space of only 2 patients is also one of
the most important reasons, or if it be said the “culprit” for not
being able to provide timely help to the people who could have
been probably saved had they been given treatment at the
required time.
Multi-stretchered Ambulance
An ambulance is equipped to accommodate at the most 2
patients which like explained above can create a lots of issues, in
order to tackle these issues and reduce the troubles of common
man during the time of emergencies, we have proposed a
prototype, and come up with a solution of multi-stretchered
ambulance.
