Conclusion The project manager should effectively manage the control phase of the project management especially in the aerospace and defense projects to ensure the project is completed as promised. Project control acts as a restraint for the success of project management. It also helps in the successful completion of the project given the availability of budget and resources. The project manager should realize all the aspects of the project control. I believe the main challenge for a project manager handling defense project is controlling the cost as the defense products requires the advanced technologies and personnel with high skillset. The project control phase ends only when the deliverables meet the acceptance criteria mentioned in the project plan and the customer signs-off the acceptance document.
