3.Coconut Agro ProductsCoconut tree is called as a tree of life, because every part of the plant can be utilized. Flowers produce coconut palm sap that can produce sugar , coconut can produce copra, coconut oil, coconut milk and dried shredded coconut (desiccated coconut), coconut fiber can produce, mats, brooms, mats, and material for the spring
bed; coconut shell charcoal can be used, activated carbon, and crafts; coconut water can be used as an ingredient of vinegar, Natta de coco, soy sauce, and energy drinks; palm stems can be used for building materials or the roof frame; leaves oil can produce a broom stick for decoration as well as woven goods; roots of coconut can be used as dyes and drugs (APCC, 2009). Coconut processing business today which mostly done in Indonesia is still largely an application in the form of vertical diversification of coconut meat, although all parts of this plant can be cultivated on an industrial scale to produce products that are beneficial to people's livesCoconut processing technology at the farm level is still very simple. There are several locations that have been introduced better technology at the farm level so as to produce a product that has big benefits. General market conditions do not favor the farmers. Problems of access in information funding, and technology have caused the unfavourable terms. Most of the business scale processing industry is still dominated by small and medium enterprises while 8% belongs to large-scale industrial. 4.Desiccated coconutDesiccated coconut (DC) is the dehydrated, shredded white kernel of the coconut. It is produced from fully ripe coconut kernel under strict hygienic conditions for human consumption. It is used both in household foods and processed foods particularly in ready-to-cook mixes and in packaged and canned foods. In the bakery and confectionery industries desiccated coconut is a preferred product. Nutritionally DC is not different from fresh coconut kernel. It retains all the characteristic features of the wet kernel including the original nutrients. Good desiccated coconut is crisp, snow white in colour with a sweet, pleasant and fresh taste of the wet kernel.5.Marketing StrategyAccording to Kotler and Armstrong (2010), marketing strategy is a concept of marketing introduced to business units in order to reach closer to the target. The marketing strategy consists of decision making in marketing budgets, marketing mix and marketing allocation in relation to competitive conditions and the desired environment.Marketing strategy of a company must be adapted not only to target consumers but
also competitors varying for the same target consumer. The marketing strategy will determine the profit or gain to be achieved by the company (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010).Marketing strategy has the objective to be able to live and thrive. These objectives can only be achieved through efforts to maintain and increase sales. This goal can only be achieved if the company's marketing strategy is able to use the opportunity that exist in marketing, so the position of companies in the market can be maintained and enhanced.
