According to Kant’s deontology theory, we should act in a way that can universalized and treat other’s as we desire to be treated (Postigo, 2015). Should of the hiring manager informed Elauf of her interview rating that made her a possible hire and followed by thoroughly explaining the company’s look policy? But, according to Collins, the interviewer informed the district manager of Elauf and told how she wore a headscarf and believed it was due to religious reasons. Even though the district manger denied knowledge of the reason for the scarf, the immoral action made here in my opinion was directing the interviewer to no longer consider Elauf for employment without informing her of her rating which placed her in a pool of eligibility and followed by explaining the company policy and suggesting an accommodation. In my opinion, this whole matter could have been avoided if the obvious would have been discussed. It doesn't take another Muslim or a genius to realize why a headscarf is being worn. At
