Unit 2: NetView user interfaces and product integration NetView EMANetView EMA and data collectorsThe components of the NetView EMA can run on both the mainframe and distributed environments: Mainframe: The collectors collect data from the mainframe and store it in the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server. Distributed: The operator accesses data through the Tivoli Enterprise Portal and Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server. The Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server provides the data to the operator.

For the browser interface, you can enter the web address for Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server and port number on any device in the network. With either interface, you first see the logon window.
