Paragraph 2: Definition Identify, describe, and define the element of rhetoric you believe the behavior in your first paragraph demonstrates. Provide other examples as a way to draw comparisons to your own example. Paragraph 3: Explanation Explain why you believe your description is a demonstration of your chosen element of rhetoric. Make your case and be specific! o Tip: Refer back to specific details that you used in your descriptive paragraph 1 and explain to the reader how and why these details demonstrate your chosen element of rhetoric. Grading Assignment is worth 100 points. Grading is focused on how well students follow the prescribed format with an emphasis on clarity and organization. Grading is broken down as follows: Main text: 90 points total 1. Detailed description of behavior or event in an outside source that used either Ethos, Pathos, or Logos: 30 points 2. Appropriate definition and summary of identified element of rhetoric: 30 points 3. Clarity in explanation of why rhetoric element fits behavior or event: 30 points Organization and Mechanics: 10 points 1. Organization of paragraphs 2. Clarity in writing, including spelling and grammar
