can reduce the effects of stereotype threat among student athletes. It is further suggested that further research in other methods of reducing stereotype threat should be done. In this research project we hope to find a correlation between teaching interventions and reducing stereotype threat among student athletes. Through this research we can help reduce the effects of stereotype threat in school environments which can lead to an environment more conducive to learning but also to provoke further research in ways to reduce the effects of stereotype threat in student athletes and in other groups effected by the stereotype threat. In our study we will be testing the effects of teaching intervention to students and student-athletes who were primed with stereotype threat by filling out student or student athlete on the test before beginning. one group will be taking the problem-solving test without the teaching intervention and one will be taking it with the teaching intervention. (Here you want to point out the work that still needs to be researched on this topic, but it should also match the goal of the current research project. You want to point out the necessity of the work you will carry out in your study.) C. How does YOUR topic build on or add to previous work? How is your paper/topic different? How does it address the failures mentioned above? In addition, give a 1-2 sentence general summary of your design. VI. Hypotheses A. List the Hypotheses Teaching interventions about stereotype threat can alleviate the effects of stereotype threat among student athletes and improves performance in test.

Your introduction must include: At least eight citations from peer-reviewed articles Four citations of articles we’ve been assigned to read for class so far Four citations you’ve found on your own (three of these can be from what you found for Assignment 3 …) Proper APA style in-text citations and a proper APA style References list at the end A review of the literature covered in your chosen peer-reviewed articles A discussion of how your research question connections to this literature Use your above outline to help you structure the flow of your introduction draft! That, along with your Assignment #3, will be immensely helpful to you. Take a look at the Research Paper Rubric in the Course Research Project folder on Schoology for a better idea of how these pieces of your research paper will be graded. You’ll receive feedback on each piece throughout the semester, so that your final paper submitted by the end of the semester is a completed puzzle of these different components.
