RISK REGISTER 10 likelihood of occurrence of this risk is high because of competitiveness in the industry and innovations that spring up everywhere every day. The severity of the impact it would have on the business should it fail to respond appropriately to the changing technology , would be high because investments would go without yielding benefit, customers would change preference and leave the technology behind causing the business to lose competitive edge and profitability would go south. The controllability of this risk is medium. The company has learnt to anticipate customer preferences by tracking what they opt for when buying as well as their online behavior on the company site. This enables them to develop a clear sense of what direction to research in order to meet and surpass customer expectations and secure their competitive edge. Other companies can however come up with winning innovations that will draw customers to their products, and Tyndall cannot prevent them from doing it. The best response to this risk is to constantly continue monitoring customer preferences, and to research deeper in technological advances. Tis will help to come up with strong innovations that will keep customers impressed enough to keep on recognize Tyndall Telecommunications as a company to reckon with.
