During the quarter, if you have any questions about the course policies, you will be first referred to this syllabus. Please make sure you keep a copy. Office Visits Most successful students see their instructors outside of class time to ask questions or get extra help on their assignments. I am encouraging you to come and ask for help. Assignment / Homework Policy All homework assignment must be typed , must use a 12 size font, and double spaced. Assignments must be turned in on the due date. I will accept assignments late, but only if turned in by the following class date. Late assignments will only receive half credit . You may not make up any quizzes or te sts – midterm and final exam included. Keep all of your graded assignments, including all quizzes and tests. Final Exam 20% Grading Scale (See Rubric in Reader) Quizzes and exams cannot be made up . If you are absent on the day of a quiz or exam, you are agreeing to take “0” points for that test. No exceptions! On-Campus Support Services Students may visit the Student Success Center at for different kinds of ESL tutoring services which include grammar and writing tips! Important Dates Monday, April 9: First day of Spring Quarter 2018 Saturday, April 21 : Last day to add quarter-length classes. Add date is enforced . Sunday, April 22 : Last day to drop for a full refund or credit for all students (quarter-length classes only). Refund deadlines for all non quarter-length classes are in MyPortal, "View Your Class Schedule" link. Drop date is enforced. Sunday, April 22 : Last day to drop a class with no record of grade. Drop date is enforced. Friday, May 4 : Last day to request pass/no pass grade. Request date is enforced. 6
