Although throughout the entire commercial the narrator tells the viewers to imagine this scenario, it’s quite obvious that the scenario is a reflection of the reality in other countries. With that in mind, the scenario gives the viewers a feeling of guilt and sympathy towards the people who are actually facing the reality. Because it makes the viewers feel guilty, it convinces them to want to try and help those people. At the end of the commercial it reveals Ron Paul’s logo and his slogan which reads, ‘Restore America Now’. This lets the viewers feel compelled to vote for Ron Paul because of how the commercial touched their hearts and how the slogan gives the idea of that voting for Ron Paul will help the people in need. With the use of pathos, it persuades the viewers to want to vote for Ron Paul to solve the issues that the narrator described. The narrator of the commercial expressed the message by giving the viewers something to think about as they watch, they did it with using tone and repetition, video effects, and pathos. These elements help build the commercial to reach out to the viewers on a personal level. Therefore, the commercial influenced the minds of the viewers and also brought out the voice of those that oppose warfare to vote for Ron Paul so that he can stop the war and bring peace.
