And to this point all life is still confined to oceans. 2.5 bya photosynthesis occurred. Photosynthesis is important for producing energy from sunlight Photosynthesis ~ produces energy from sunlight making it usable. it converts it Very important ~ it produces a by product which is oxygen Now that we have an increase in oxygen in the environment life can change from anaerobic which means that it does not require oxygen To an aerobic form which requires oxygen Aerobic life is much more efficient than anaerobic life aerobic metabolism is a much more efficient way of living These early photosynthetic life they are referred to

CYANObacteria. Eukaryotic life ~ eukaryotic life evolves . These are more complex cells. These are all the cells that were composed of These are cells that have organelles than have a nucleus They have a nucleus Organelles ~ they are specialized little compartments within the cells The way eukaryotic life evolves they think that larger proyectos involved or took up smaller prokaryotic cells. And this is what led to the evolution of these organelles Some evidence for this whole process Mitocondria ~ the powerhouse of the cell The mitochondria has it own DNA and has a double cell membrane. Chloroplast ~ we talked about the early photosynthetic prokaryotes. It sure will be helpful for another procaryote. To have its own factory and make energy Some cells were able to work together to create MULTICELLULAR LIFE Multicellular life required Cells have to change shape. And they have to acquire new functions. Multicellular life ~ has to figure out how to make those cells stick together (the cells have to acquire the ability to adhere to one another) They have to be able to coordinate their functions and learn to work together Ozone ~ eventually accumulated .
