To do so, Hermes begins telling a boring, lengthy story that bores Argus to sleep, and as soon as his last eye closed, Hermes beheaded him. Io fled across the continent, along with the Arabian Peninsula, and arrived in Egypt. Meanwhile, Hera, saddened at the death of her servant, took Argus’s eyes and put them on the tail of a peacock, which is why a peacock has colored “eyes” on its “train”. She
