LEADERSHIP FOR GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT economically and racially divided. Most predominantly it provides a lesson about leadership and how individual build relationships. Mandela and Pienaar are great role models to all leaders in this diverse world. Mandela’s life has been an inspiration and he was a person of impeccable charisma, individual trusted to the core. As a president, his desire was not only to lead but to empower his associates to lead themselves. [Gil111]. The most important lesson I have learned is leaders happen to be inclusive, vibrant, and impartial to yourself and others, and the one who can make a difference.[Hoe05]. Additionally, true leaders do not have to lead but can allow others to lead when it is more appropriate. In essence, the leader should not always be at the forefront, but he or she can leave some duties of the position to his subjects. To end, leading from behind has been performed in the political field during their time by prominent leaders such as Mandela, Caesar, Gandhi, Hitler with great success.[Lea15]. Lastly, through the movie the aspect of leadership models can be learned. 7
