donors. Such statistics show the need to support the bill. Millions of Americans are willing to
support the system by donating vital resources to promote the health and wellbeing of their
fellow citizens (Kang et al., 2012). Cord blood often goes to waste after the birth of babies
despite its numerous benefits. Current studies show that while the cord blood has minimal stem
cells, the cell grows faster than cells harvested in other parts of the body (Weiss & Troyer, 2006).

From such a brief analysis, I believe that you can see the innumerable health benefits of
stem cell technology and the need to expand its research. Numerous Americans are suffering and
facing ultimate death or disabilities that can all be prevented through stem cell technology.
Furthermore, millions of Americans are willing to donate the critical resource for studies and to
support their fellow citizens.
