Pitfalls and Successes Narcissistic leaders whether historical or fictional always paint a picture of someone that has caused chaos or destruction. Many people are hurt due to many irrational decisions that are made. While this can be found true, each example shows how this form of leader can also be beneficial. For example, in both cases each leader had to step up for their causes and make the hard decisions. “O” was trapped in a bunker for five years, and she knew that their food to people ratio was disproportionate. Many tough choices were made. She decided that prisoners would fight to the death, and that everyone else would eat those that were killed. Ultimately “O” ensured the survival of the group. When no one wanted to step up she made this tough decision, and in the end, she lost her humanity. Hitler was very persistent in his efforts of becoming a powerful leader. So much so, that [by 1942, Hitler appeared, on the surface, to have been well on the way to achieving all his goals. His extraordinary leadership ability led to a ruthlessly successful pursuit of power, but his

Early success convinced him of his own infallibility and prevented genuine discussion on crucial decisions, which cost Germany in the war] (Salem, 2007). He achieved many things, but he also lost it all in the end. The Covenant Leader . Covenant leadership instills many aspects of positivity and camaraderie into an organization. Leaders and followers alike are more productive, and they increase the efficiency of the organization. Followers have a great understanding for the task at hand and are more susceptible to cooperate with leadership. Covenant leadership thrives because it isn’t a contractual obligation, but an agreement (Lexa, 2017). When acting as a covenant leader, the right things are done regardless of the circumstance or negativity that might surround any decisions the leader makes. Covenant leaders thrive because they place values, trust, commitment, and respect as their guiding principles. They recognize their purpose and spread this purpose to those that work with them. Covenant leaders work as a unit, giving each person involved a larger purpose; instead of for the soul purpose of one person (Moisan,2008). An example of a covenant leader in the bible would be God. The bible outlines the meaning of covenant as God’s promises. God made many covenants throughout the bible, but one of the most prominent ones would be the Noahic covenant. This promise was made after God destroyed the earth by flood due to all the indiscretions and sins made by man. God promised Noah that he would not destroy the earth by flood again, and that he and his family would be safe (Genesis 9 NLT). The flood lasted for 150 days, and at the first day of the new year God sealed his promise with a rainbow (Genesis 9, NLT). This example shows how God
