Practical Constraints The first practical constraint for Kirk will be the opinion of the management. We remember that when the president of the company shared his opinion, that he doesn`t want to spend more on the upgrade of the plant, he was supported by other members. So it will be hard to convince these people. For Kirk it is still a secret, the budget of the company, and how much the waste facility can cost. It might happen that the company will need additional investment or loan to fulfill the upgrade plan. Also we have to consider that the waste facility will increase the product price, and here the proper calculations have to be done, in order to keep the price of the product on the market. Specific Action As we understand, Kirk doesn`t have a very important position in the company, but he is close to the important people. If he makes a good strategy plan, and share his ideas with the higher bosses, he will already make some influence on their opinion. If the bosses trust him, and can be interested, he might be involved in the more systematic procedure, and will investigate the numbers of the company, to summarize ideas and make the final project for the company. In my opinion, in the current situation it will be the only one proper way that he can make if he wants to change the situation and to influence the new project. Anyway it can be a hard time for Kirk to behave ethically, because “since his first days in office, President Trump has made eliminating federal regulations a priority. His administration, with help from Republicans in Congress, has targeted environmental rules it sees as overly burdensome to the fossil fuel industry, including major Obama-era policies aimed at fighting climate change” (Popovich, Albeck-Ripka and Pierre-Louis, 2018).
