WEEK 10 Assess the challenges of managers providing accurate, timely, and effective feedback to employees. Recommend how managers can overcome any two (2) of the challenges you identified. Of the concepts covered in the textbook chapter, determine which, if implemented well, would have the greatest impact on an organization. Provide a rationale with your response.

Giving feedback to employees is very important. Feedback is to help employees realize reasons for inconsistencies in performance and advise a corrective course of action to help nurture employees’ career growth within the organization. Employees should be allowed to help come up with solutions to help improve performance and meet company goals. Mistakes in giving feedback can jeopardize the relationship between managers and employees. Managers try to avoid hurting employee’s feelings by not stating things as they are. This may confuse employee. Some manager’s judgmental views influence assessment of employees by focusing on the individual and not the individual's actions. Feedback shouldbe given throughout the year and not at annual appraisal to avoid leaving the employee feeling betrayed and bitter. Effective and timely feedback benefit the organization by enhancing the employee’s performance. Specific feedback corrects or reinforces certain behaviorsmore effectively. Provide a “pat on the back” or a “kick in the pants” in a subtle but supportive way. Provide feedback in a way that is motivational and is best suited for the employee. Company goals can help the employee focus. Employees should feel that their contributions are valued. Employers need to build on employees’ strengths always giving suggestions for improvement.WEEK 11 Imagine you are at a party where you have to describe what human resource management is all about. Provide a brief summary to your fellow partygoers. Human Resource Management focuses on hiring, managing, training and providing direction for the employees who work within the organization. Some Human Resources Management functions are performed by line managers who trainer employees for specific job functions. Human Resource Management deals with wages/salary, benefits package, performance/evaluation management, organization development, safety management, and wellness. Human Resources Management help employees feel motivated to contribute to the company’s goals. Human Resource Management adds value to effectively steering the organization’s direction. Goals are set for every organization. Company objectives and responsibilities are governed by HRM.HRM is essential for public and private organizations.Human resource department is to ensure organizations retain employees with skills and abilities to help reach the company’s goals.
