4.2.2Dual Support SystemSupport system, variant 2 includes an extended EC bus with more capabilities,allowing to connect two support systems through the EC ports, depending onthe chosen configuration. The connected support systems result in a dualsupport system configuration, where the two support systems constitute onemain unit. Climate, alarm, and synchronization of both support systems arecontrolled by the primary DU. Each support system has its own power feedand provides power to its hosted DUs. It is only possible to connect two support systems using the EC bus. If morethan two support systems are used, they are treated as separate systems.WCDMA and LTE support dual support system configurations using the ECbus.
