the correct dosage the bottle should be shaken beforehand so the medication is not pooled at the bottom. The most accurate devise would be a small plastic medicine cup due to it being in tsps. For medication B Doris needs to take it orally three times a day. An accurate way to do this would be to take it at breakfast, lunch, and dinner as it may make it easier to keep track and acquire accurate dosages. Make sure to shake the bottle before taking the medication due to pooling and some medications need to be refrigerated while others can be stored at room temperature. For taking medication B Doris should use an oral syringe. The syringe measures in mL making it easy to accurately measure 2.5 mL. When picking up the medication an oral syringe is typically free at the pharmacy with the medication, same with the medicine cup for medication A. Also knowing drug-drug interactions can help prevent a medical error. The prescriptions may not be able to be taken to together and need to be taken at different times to prevent a drug-drug interaction. I would also advice Doris of the possible side effects, adverse reactions, allergic reactions, and to carefully read the doctor’s orders. Medications that are taken longer than their intended dose can cause physical or psychological symptoms. Doris should be careful to only take the medication for only its intended time to not cause any harm to herself. Reference Proctor, D. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
