For example, when it is holiday time, such as Independent Day or Thanksgiving, inventory must be ordered one or two months in advance, just in case each individual local store having short-on-product situation. Moreover, Home Depot need to know what type of goods they plan on stocking up for the holidays based on customers’ features or most hot-selling items data. Goods have to be distributed on time for the sales to take place and ensure that each individual local store has a sufficient amount on hand to meet demands, otherwise, inventory or stocks are going to be empty really fast and customers are not going to enjoy their shopping time.
