Hamilton: An American Musical - Revolutionary        4 World was Wide Enough”   where his killer and close friend, Aaron Burr, tells his side of the  story during the shooting "He may have been the first one to die but I’m the one who paid for it.  I survive but I paid for it”.  Burr also goes on to explain the grief and regret he felt after  murdering Hamilton “Now I’m the villain in your history. I was too young and blind to see … I  should have known the world was wide enough for both Hamilton and me.” After seven years of  writing and rendering the show,  Hamilton: An American Musical  opened at the Richard Rogers  Theatre on August 6 th , 2015. Opening Night at the Richard Rogers On opening night the audience at the Richard Roger’s experienced a uniquely wonderful  show. The   cast featured Hispanics, African Americans, Asian, White and Mixed Colored actors  and actresses. All the founding fathers were played by African American actors who sang to hip- hop and rap beats about their unique friendship and creation of America.  The choreography was  not typical Broadway dance but more contemporary or street dance. The costuming on the  ensemble was a modern twist Elizabethan dress which was more functional for the style of  dance.    Miranda wanted present the show and its cast as America today: a diverse group of  people working as one. Through Hamilton, Miranda also found himself, during an interview with Hesherman, Miranda said “ I didn’t know Hamilton was an immigrant, and I didn’t know half of  the traumas of his early life. And when he gets to New York, I was like, ‘I know this guy.’  Hamilton: An American Musical  was a game changer for Broadway musicals destroying the  meaning of what a Broadway musical should be.  The Mixtape and Awards
