Modernism reference to artistic productions prefers realism. Art is how the mind operates, raw date processes it and re expresses it. How experience is shaped and undercuts the certainties of experience. Posy- takes it to the next level. Even expressionist modernist art, we aren’t getting anything real. A. Fragmentation: it breaks things up into small units, cracking a sense of continuity, cohesiveness, and cognitiveness. Mosaic or collage. Breaking apart as what has seen as a whole, bringing things together that have been previously seen separate. Example: B. Dismantling Tradition: the traditions of art and entertainment. What has gone on before and come up with their own angle on it. Their own kind of twisted form thereof. C. Self- Reflective: draws attention to itself, screams at you and says you are looking at a picture not a reality.
