How to Save and Post an Assignment in Blackboard. Type your homework (HW) using Microsoft Word. Make sure your name is at the top of the first page. When saving the HW in Microsoft Word, put your last name and the chapter number as part of the file name (for example: Smith_Ch2 ). To Submit your homework assignment: 1. Click the “HW Assignments” link to open your homework assignments page. 2. In the HW Assignments page, click the link to view the assignment. 3. After finishing the HW, save it with your last name appearing as part of the file name, for example, Smith_Ch 2. Make sure your name also appears on the first page of your HW assignment. 4. When ready to submit your homework, click the “Browse for Local File” button, then find your file (e.g., Smith_Ch 2). 5. Once your file is selected, click the “Attach File” button. 6.
