In order to be diagnosed with PTSD, you must have had been triggered by a terrifying event, whether it be that the person experienced or witnessed it. Still, as of now, there is no one solution nor cure for PTSD, any form of help/ treatment concludes of Cognitive Processing Therapy, Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy. These all take time but are more human with the treatments and allows the victim to obtain help willingly as well as safely. The symptoms, as well as treatment and diagnosis, has changed tremendously over the years for the better. Those who have the conditions receive proper care along with positive help from those around them. Unfortunately, veterans during the time period within us involvement of Vietnam were unable to receive these resources and were left in the dark unable to understand the situations they were faced with. After reviewing all of the information including the dark history and evolution in which PTSD grew from. The observation that is able to be made would be that due to the unfortunate situations veterans were placed in the advancements in the medical field were able to uncover the truth behind trauma as well as understanding it to find treatments to best suit the victim/patient.
