affect the student, but the teacher. It is also unfair for a teacher's job to rely on a student's test score that may not fully represent the teacher as a whole. Also, parents should not feel it is their responsibility to re-teach all of the material their child does not fully understand from school. The common core standards should be adjusted to be more compatible and diverse for students. The standards should offer more room to cater to each student's individualistic and unique learning capabilities. Because if we continue to ignore the fact these standards are doing more damage than good for students, they will be unprepared for college and will not have the necessary knowledge and skills for their future.
