CAPCE can help a person find accredited continuing education courses online, live courses, or virtual instructor lead training courses (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, 2019). A person can also attend a college for continued education or further education for higher degrees (Smeby, 2014). The internet is a resource that a person can use to find creditable sources for continued education such as journal articles, classes both on-line and live.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT ACTION PLAN PHASE THREE7ConclusionObtaining certification or licensure is just the first step to working in the emergency services field. Once that certification or license has been achieved a person must continue to learn throughout their career and continue to practice the skills that are taught. The emergency services field knowledge is always changing, whether it be updating old information and techniques or learning new ways to doing things. Continued education is, therefore, a vital component to their career. There are many avenues a person can take to continue their educationfrom job offered education and training, article reading to on-line and college education. The time a person chooses to put in to continuing their education and practice their skills can profoundly make a difference in a victim’s life.
