helps to promote my sleep quality. I have had intermittent practice with meditation over much of my lifetime. Recently, I’ve begun a daily, guided practice of meditation, which bolsters my commitment to mindfulness in life. I continue to try to be mindful and present in all my interactions and activities. Mindfulness in the gym helps me avoid injury, mindfulness at home means my cooking is tasty and appreciated, mindfulness in the ED means my patients get safe and individualized care.My interpretation of the mental aspect relates to cognitive pursuits such as thinking and learning. I have two goals for thinking and learning. The first is the successful completion of this master’s degree program. The second is to build on my foundation in physical fitness by continuing to hone my skills and knowledge base in CrossFit coaching. Through daily, scheduledstudying and reading and frequent contact with my mentor, I feel that I can complete the master’sdegree in a timely fashion. Having completed the level one training seminar qualifying me to coach the CrossFit method, I’ve taken steps to enhance my personal knowledge growth in the sport by enrolling in both the weightlifting and the gymnastics courses as encouraged for the development of CrossFit coaches.My interpretation of the spiritual body are those pursuits which give meaning and purpose to life. To satisfy this aspect of myself, I want to live in partnership with others, to be loved and be loving, and try to gracefully accept the inevitable changes that come with life and living. Love, without a doubt, provides me with spiritual sustenance. Through continued, shared family meals, conversations, outings and experiences, I aim to be loved and continue to be lovingin maintaining my relationships with friends and family. The formal term “optimal healing environment” was coined in 2004 by the Samueli Institute in an effort to formalize the concept of optimal healing environments. OHEs, “describe a healthcare system that is designed to stimulate and support the inherent healing capacity of patients, families, and their care providers (Sakallaris, et al, 2015). OHEs consist of four environments with two concepts each that establish the framework for OHEs. These environments are internal, interpersonal, behavioral and external (Sakallaris, et al, 2015).
