Due to the use of secondary data, this study did not require ethical approval as part of the normal process for the use of primary data from human participants. All secondary data sourced and used for this dissertation are publically available and will be full cited where appropriate in the following analysis. CHAPTER 4 4.0 RESULTS AND ANALYSIS In this chapter, summarized results of the study in relation to the study objectives will be presents in a systematic order. It discusses the findings of each question, presents the results, and makes a comparison against other. Due to the limitation of time, Primary data such as questionnaires and scheduled interviews from the sampled companies that have already adopted the AI technologies was not involve. Analysis will be based on secondary data that involve desktop studies which will be obtained from the literature review of existing work by various scholars and researchers on AI and its applications. These sources include 52 peer-reviewed journals, 5 internet sources, 2 reports and 6 books. 4.1 Current AI trends and its application in best practice management Currently, the Investment in AI technologies is growing at a very high rate around the globe. The service industry is one of the top five applications for AI across the globe as it has made work much easier and more efficient with lower cost in the companies’ daily operations (Miailhe and Hodes, 2017). different companies do their businesses as it influences technology as well as customer interactions. As a result, tremendous improvement in business productivity is recorded. Companies such as Amazon, Microsoft and Google are among the top leading the way to technology advancement through the adoption of AI technologies (Makridakis, 2017). There has been a dramatic increase in interest in the investment of AI technologies over the past years regarding to the increase in demand. The current famous AI technologies trends are: a. Data Literacy The world is getting bigger every single day, as is the volume of data collected worldwide. Collected data becomes more relevant, contextual and valuable. Collected data need to be analysed, organised, shared and stored for the most of the business, opening up new avenues of approach for AI learning. Data literacy has been and is still trending. Therefore, this needs the right technology as well as the right people to accomplish what has been set out by the organisation in terms of achieving its goals and objectives. It should be noted that data literacy is very important in any organisation as it helps to up-skill the organisation’s workforce.
