While companies compete for low – cost strategy, Apple focuses on the manufacture of unique product irrespectiveof the cost. Changes in product design and innovation are done through the research and development activities.The focus on few things is another way in which Apple achieves change. This is seen from the time Apple spent in developing its coveted iPhone, Mac, iPad and iPod products. Taking a good time to manufacture them they did not disappoint the customers. Additionally, the company has been engaged in continuous update and improvement of its products. These products are going to last for years owing to the update and improvement strategy. The success of Apple Inc. has always been attributed to the management of Steve Jobs. To achieve this success, Steve Jobs used personal strategy in which he ran everything alongside a board of decisions. Additionally, Apple Inc. Has achieved its success due to its focuson few things at a time rather than focusing on man things at a time. Having realized that many companies fall due to focus on many brands at a time, Apple has decided to pay attention to details in what it manufactures. Moreover, Apple is determined by saying yes to everything it starts. The word no does not feature in its dictionary of operations. Companies tend to focus on the development of many products at the same time and end up failing in their mission. The mission, vision and strategic goals and intertwined with the change initiatives.Comparison of Improvement Initiatives with Other Organizations Apple and Cisco possess connatural change initiatives in that both have developed a corporate social responsibility in which they aim at assisting the society through offering sponsorship and initiating community rebuilding programs. Use of technology is highly used in the management. Cisco has digitized its stores through digital transformation process. Sustainability is another change initiative that companies have adopted. Samsung, considers earth its priority. Healthy environment is the future of both Apple and Samsung. Essentially, eco management has become the Samsung’s 2020 KPI.
