The graphic shows the years included in the FY19-23 PPBE cycle. For this cycle, FY19 is the budget year and FY20 through FY23 are the out-years. In addition to these five forward looking fiscal years, for historical trend purposes, the two years prior to the budget year is included. In this example, FY17 is considered the prior year and FY18 is considered the current year. The designation of current year is given because it is the fiscal year currently being executed (i.e., the current fiscal year) when Congress is enacting appropriations for the budget year (i.e., FY19).ContentTo allow insight to past and future years, the full FYDP includes information about resource allocation for the years immediately preceding the first budget year (prior and current years) as well as three additional years of force structure level information beyond the fourth out-year.The graphic shows the two years included in the full FYDP for the FY19-23 PPBE cycle.
