The majority of people do not go further into details or debriefing. Therefore, decoding information received when doing research on information that is found credible and valid is important. Each of these thought process theories promotes stages, levels or phases of the thinking process. The stages do not have to be in any given order because sometimes the critical thinker will experience these multiple stages. It really comes down two key questions: So What? And Says who (Capella University, 2011)? Synthesize is one of the steps in Bloom’s Taxonomy Theory. Level V describes synthesize as compiling information together in a different way by combining elements in a new pattern or proposing alternative solutions (Capella University, 2011). It refers to putting parts together to form a new whole (Granello, 2001). To synthesize information in the context of Bloom’s Taxonomy and Granello’s work means to obtain information from various sources and to integrate the information in your own method of thinking.
