As the flames grew to a high temperature he rubbed his hands over the roughness of the metal rod. Then it occurred to him if he were to melt it down and turn it into another shape or object he would be doing the object an injustice. For in its rough, beaten

form it had been able to be used to save his life. To melt it down would be an insult to what he felt was a trusted friend. “I know exactly how to honor it”, he said and snapped his fingers. He went in search of a high-quality piece of gold. In the flames, he then crafted an adequate plaque that reads, “A life was saved from a metal rod . . . its purpose was ultimately served”. He allowed the gold plague to cool and then retrieved two metal spikes that he nailed into the wall. Reverently, he placed his trusty rod on these spikes. Then he hung the golden plaque under it that paid tribute to its usefulness. Many visitors would enter through his doors and he would tell each one the story of how a simple piece of metal was able to save his life. He felt that he had learned a valuable life lesson that fateful day it was every object has its purpose.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
