Lecture/Discussion Topics (Obj # 1, 2, 5) Course Orientation Pharmacy Patient Counseling Laboratory Learning Experiences Review and discuss 2 home assignments (assignments must be turned in at the beginning of class) Email exercise o Students will practice writing appropriate emails in response to confrontational scenarios Suggested Reading Chapter 13; Communication Skills in Pharmacy Practice Week 2 Lecture/Discussion Topics (Obj # 1, 4, 5) Interviewing strategies Laboratory Learning Experiences Peer interviewing activity o Students will be paired in groups to practice asking questions of one another. Answers will be compared when close vs. open-ended questions are asked.
