facility. Another way would be to continue with the education of our school systems in creating positive school climates while also making sure the funding gets to all the schools equally rather than in the areas that have influential families. One of the very foundations of America was the opportunity to equal education among students. Thomas Jefferson even stated that America needs to be built on natural virtue and talent and not handed down through inheritance and wealth. Since then our values have changed time and time again. During the times of desegregation America was split between people of color and White. The Brown v. Board of Education helped to set the momentum of the civil rights movement allowing those same people outcasted a chance to become equals with the rest of the world. Conflict theorists suggest that the race for academic achievements occurred because it placed a greater emphasis on groups that could achieve a degree. This now opens the door to allow companies to require you have a degree that may or may not be needed to perform the actual job skills, but also allows them to weed out certain types of applicants. Inequality in the education system is a widespread social problem that will take society and all its members as a group to come up with a solution. There has been some progress with the U.S. Department of Education, but their efforts have only reached so far. If all parts work together I think that our education system can become more unified and standardized without secluding those of lower socioeconomic status. 4

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
