sion sections lead by the teaching assistants. These sections will be used to review course material and discuss problems on assigned problem sets. Problem Sets You will be assigned six problem sets throughout the quarter. Problem sets consist of exam-style, short answer, questions and will be posted on the course website following class each Monday. They are due to your teaching assistant by 4 pm (i.e. before the lecture starts) on the following Monday. You may work with each other to derive solutions, but you must write up your own original answers. Late or incomplete problem sets will not be graded. Problem sets will be scored based on completeness and the solution to one problem that will be chosen at random each week. Solution sets will be posted to the course website the morning following the day they are due. Please be sure to include your: Name, Student ID#, and TA Name at the top of each of your turned in assignments. Examinations We will have two midterm exams and a cumulative final exam. The midterms will take place during regu- larly scheduled class periods and the final will take place on the date and time scheduled by the registrar. All exams will take place in J. Baskin Auditorium 101 . Make up exams will not be permitted. If you have a conflict with a scheduled exam, you MUST bring that to my attention at the start of the course so that we may work together to determine a possible solution. Each student will be permitted to bring with them a single 5x8 inch index card (provided by me) to use as a ‘cheat sheet’ during exams. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
