BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management Diversity and inclusion policy template: BSBDIV601 Develop and implement diversity policy Metricon Hotels does not tolerate behaviours that undermine a diverse and inclusive workplace, including but not limited to behaviour that is unlawful such as discrimination, harassment, bullying, vilification and victimisation. Metricon Hotels encourages employees to speak up about unacceptable and unlawful behaviour in the workplace and supports employees to do this by providing them with access to advice, support and a process to raise and resolve complaints. Metricon Hotels provides targeted education and training for leaders and employees so they can recognise unacceptable and unlawful behaviour in the workplace and know what to do if they experience, witness or become aware of it. Any behaviour that breaches this policy, whether explicit or implicit, will not be tolerated. Behaviour such as discrimination, harassment or bullying will be regarded as misconduct and may lead to disciplinary proceedings. Monitoring and Review We going to implement programs which develop skills and experience that prepare employees for senior management positions. Metricon encourages the personal development of its employees and offers extensive training and development programs which seek to develop technical skills, people management and leadership skills. Metricon has set clear expectations for leaders and employees regarding their behaviour and conduct in the workplace. To ensure everyone understands what is expected of them, all employees, contractors and agency temps are required to complete relevant training. Initial training is completed by all new employees during the induction process. All employees must complete refresher training every 3 years. Leaders are responsible for ensuring their team members have completed required training and can track their team’s compliance status through a system. We will encourage employees to inform us about any act of discrimination We will be constantly reviewing the behaviour of employees and identify those that require a greater number of sessions to help us with the objectives of the organization. Metricon is regularly conducting team member surveys, including questions on diversity, inclusion and the working environment. The result is a measurement of how well the company succeeds within this field but also a source for further improvement. Responsibilities The Diversity & Inclusion Policy applies equally to all team members. All team members are required to read, accept and follow this policy for the full duration of their employment.
