When catering to generation Y in the workforce it is important to remember the characteristics and values important to that generation. As my generation is more prone to a healthy work life balance than previous generations I believe it would benefit organizations to foster a healthy environment through having comprehensive employee’s well-being programs and family assistance programs like company sponsored daycares, or assistance programs for elderly parents their employees may be taking care of. If employees are able to worry less about these factors, they will be better able to focus and perform well at work. It would also promote job satisfaction as employees will know that their company truly cars about them. At the organization I currently work for we have a severs problem with attendance. Employees will fail to inform management when they are going to miss work or fail to show up in the mornings as they are required to do. These things can severely impact the workflow for the entire day. Currently our company does not have a written attendance policy and therefore cannot address
