This luminaire was used due to it’s higher
luminous flux and wide distribution curve. This
resulted to a larger area being able to reach the
standards of the room.

This luminaire was used as an entry or exit light
for the door for the person inside or going inside
have visual of the area around the door. It was also
chosen for its small distribution curve in order to
lessen the overlapping of lighting at certain areas.

Utilizing a three-gang switch, three groups of luminaires
can be controlled depending on time and conditions.
Luminaire group one consists of luminaire numbers one, five,
six and three. They are primarily used during the night as the
areas they are located are reached by the sunlight during the
day. Luminaire group 2 controls luminaire 2 and 4 and can be
used during the day and night as the areas they are located far
from the windows. Luminaire group 3 controls luminaire 7
which is used at day and night as sunlight reaching the
couches are not enough.

The simulation was done under average sky
conditions at 12 noon with luminaire groups two and
three turned on. The room was able to obtain an
average illuminance value of 338 lux, meaning the
room was able to reach its standard of 300 lux.
Uniformity with the light distribution was also
observed in the important areas such as where the
chairs are located and the table where preparations
for the mass is made. Small pockets of lower
illuminance were present in the corners, but they can
be said as areas with little to no activities due to their
location and size. Lower values can also be seen in
the doors to the side, but it is meant to aid the eyes of
the person going in to gradually adjust to the amount
of light in the room.
