Purpose of operationalizing variables: We want to operationalize the variable so we can acturally put faces and numbers to the listed variables. We want to be able to come up with someway to measure our variables and be able to make statistical conclusions based on our findings. How would you operationalize the variables in your research question?I will be specifically looking at girls under the age of 18 who get pregnant. Also, I will use some type of scale to measure the effectiveness of sex education and the quality of it in schools. Lastly, I will break down the demogrpahics into a few questions. For example, did girl come from singlefamily home? Raised by birth parents? What age did parents have first kids? etc...Develop a set of hypothesis (null and alternative) from your identified variables that address your research question. Null hypothesis: Sex education in schools does not have any effect on unplanned pregnancies for girls under the age of 18.Alternative hypothesis : Effective sex edcuation in school reduces the amount of unplanned prenancies for girls under the age of 18.
