Zuniga 4 Nevertheless, learning a second language has many benefits. Such as being valued more in the labor market, being more culturally aware and better understanding the knowledge of our language. According to research if parents invest in their children in learning a second language at an early age, knowledge of that language will be a benefit for their future. Overall, Children can learn languages better than adults because they are more aware of the subtle pronunciation differences between languages, and they will speak without an accent. Also, children that have foreign language experience will improve their learning capabilities and have higher test scores. Not only will these children be learning a new language, but they will be learning about different cultures. They will be more culturally aware and hopefully, the racism in society will diminish. Also, when they become working adults, they will be highly valued in the job market. Works Cited “Caruso, Andrea. “Foreign Language Skills: It’s Just Good Business.” Career World 09 1996: 13.
