Rationale for SelectionI chose to talk about Madeleine M. Leininger because I have a huge heart for missions and have traveled to Haiti on a medical mission trip and plan to go on many more there. I also have a heart that wants to eventually adopt a child from Haiti and transcultural nursing not only plays a role in nursing I believe it could also help improve the knowledge on how to better raise a transcultural child.Transcultural nursing is learned and can be used in our everyday life as we often see many different cultures in our patients as we practice nursing.
