The bibliographic reference may be single-spaced but the annotation must be double-spaced . You will lose marks if you exceed one page per reference or if you use a font size smaller than 12 pt. Following each annotated reference, include a scanned or digital copy of the abstract from the journal article. The total package should therefore comprise: Page 1 Your name and student number, Title and Introduction Pages 2 and 3 Copy of the last submitted version of your essay proposal (this will be the version you submitted at the end of September unless you were told to revise it) Page 4 Annotated reference 1 Page 5 Copy of abstract from annotated reference 1 Page 6 Annotated reference 2 Page 7 Copy of abstract from annotated reference 2 ………… Page 22 Annotated reference 10 Page 23 Copy of abstract from annotated reference 10 REQUIREMENTS You must find and summarize a minimum of ten (10) references. They should be either research articles taken from scholarly journals or chapters from academic books. Review articles and chapters, IPCC, ACIA, etc. reports can be very useful for finding citations to up-to-date relevant primary research articles, and can be cited in your essay, but they cannot be used for the annotated bibliography . Textbooks are not suitable references for this exercise. Newspaper and magazine articles may also be used to supplement your essay but they will not count towards the ten core references. Regular workshops on bibliographic searches are given by the Library staff. If you don’t know how to do this type of search, attend one of them. Beware of “predatory journals” and
