I would like to start off with thedata and problems I discovered when reviewing the data.BoD : Of course, please proceed.GM : Ok, to start off we didn’t meet the desired decrease of injuries and incidents. Furtherthe supervisors and store managers don’t follow the procedures and policies completelywhich results in lack of reports, records and attention when working.BoD : That sounds concerning. What are your resolutions?GM : I would put a better highlight on reports and records, as that would also make theevaluation of the data easier for us. Further I want to provide training and include regularaudits.BoD : That sounds like a good plan. Please proceed!Report:Executive summaryThis report will show the results of the WHSMS that has been implemented six monthsago. We can see that the implementation has not been entirely successful. To develop a better WHS atmosphere in the organisation there will be a more detailed re-port policy, a advanced method of training and a better communication from managers.Further there will be a network of managers be implemented to support them in their workData analysedThe data analysed shows that the target of minimizing injuries and incidents and minimiz-ing the days lost at work did not get fulfilled.Further, about 7 out of the 20 store managers at pitstop are not fulfilling their duties ac-cording to the requirements set for reports and audits.Pitstop has missing safety audits and missing skill audits.
The incident rate is manly caused by the lack of attention and the lack of will to follow theprocedures, as a lot of managers operate certain equipment without following the proce-dures in the policy. In the long run this will cause employees to lose interest and will to put in and support theWHSMS, which ultimately will lead to a failing in all targets and a higher number of inci-dents, injuries and days lost at work.A big problem is the non-attention to the smoking policy, since it has cause a number ifthree fires in six months. This shows a big hazard and holds a lot of risks, since fuel ishighly flammable.
