should be calling each other or physically writing letters, we now address each other through wall-to- wall communication. “Status updates” are yet another paradox of Facebook. While they can be perceived as indications of the progression of our lives day by day, and reflections of our current emotions, they also are alienating statements that we hope others will “like” or “comment” on to make us feel more significant in the digital world. I can certainly attest to the fact that Facebook plays a significant role in my life and I fall into this subculture of people seeking a purpose. I don't think people use Facebook and social networking just to keep up with the trends of modern society, but rather to have placement with people that share their tendencies. We all love finding out that someone we don't know enjoys the same music, films, or authors that we do; an instant connection feels present. Though artificial, we enjoy this sensation. The obvious advantages of this site are certainly the connections we make, but one could counter with the disconnection being introduced to future generations of computer-relationship based children.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
