Since this is only a three-week course, online attendance and participation are vital
to your success in the course.
Each class covers a significant amount of material, and there
are many interactive exercises and class discussions throughout the term.
In addition, it is
imperative to complete the readings as assigned.
If not, you will soon be overwhelmed.
The course will not be burdensome if you keep up with the assignments as due.

Besides online attendance and reading, the requirements for the course include
midterm and final examinations, three projects, ten short assignments, and participation.
Participation includes online communication through the virtual classrooms, group
discussion boards, class discussion boards, and the ClassCash markets.
Groups will be
formed on the first day of class.
The purpose of the group projects is to increase your
knowledge of specific aspects of the financial system, and to enable you to share your
work with others at the same time.
You will each work on a particular topic, and then
share your research with others in your group.
