The Washington Distribution Warehouse should use a combination of both a privateand public water system. However, whichever system is used it would have to be updated toensure that larger facilities will have adequate fire suppression system capabilities.I thinkthat the water storage system should be an elevated tank(s) storage volume between 250,000– 500,000 gallons. This amount would give the fire department more leeway in regards tofighting large fires in the industrial district. The size of the piping should comply with thespecification of: Primary Line 16 inches, Secondary Line 12 inches and the down distributionlevel – 8 inches.
